President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Junior led the inauguration of the P1- Billion Pier 88 Seaport Project in Liloan, Cebu today, May 27, 2023 with Vice President Sara Duterte, DOT Secretary Christina Frasco, Gov. Gwen Garcia, Congressman Duke Frasco, Mayor Aljew Frasco, CEO of Topline Group of Companies Mr. Eugene Erik Lim, COO of Pier 88 Ventures Inc., and Senior Vice President COO of Topline Group of Companies, Ms. Brigitte Lim.

Pier 88 is a 3-phase port-commercial development project located in Poblacion, Liloan, Cebu, developed by the Topline Group of Companies in partnership with Pier 88 Ventures, Inc.

Pier 88 was conceptualized in 2015 by then-Mayor, now the Deputy Secretary and Congressman of the Fifth District of Cebu, Duke Frasco, during his term as Mayor in Liloan, with the vision of enhancing connectivity and mobility, serving as a marine highway linking Liloan to Cebu City, Mactan Island, and its neighboring islands.

This vision was made real when his wife, the former mayor of Liloan, now Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco, led the groundbreaking of Pier 88 in 2019.

After a few years of conceptualization, careful planning, and preparation, Liloan prides itself on being the economic gateway of the North, providing livelihoods to thousands of Liloanons and Cebuanos.

Serving the new marine route will be the brand-new Topline Seabus, which can accommodate 150 passengers. It will make 10 trips a day with two routes: Liloan – Mactan docking at Mactan Wharf (near MEPZ) and Liloan-Cebu City docking at Pier 3 in the Cebu City Port.
