On the morning of August 24, 2026, personnel of the Liloan Police Station, under the direct supervision of PLTCOL DINDO JUANITO B. ALARAS, Acting Chief of Police, conducted an Active Assailant Awareness Lecture for the teachers, faculty members, staff, maintenance personnel, and security guards of San Roque College de Cebu, Inc., located in Barangay Yati, Liloan, Cebu.

The lecture focused on practical measures, appropriate responses, and preventive actions to enhance the participants’ awareness and preparedness in the event of an active assailant incident. It included practical guidance on survival and safety measures during active shooting incidents and knife attacks.

Following the lecture, PMSg Albert P. Comeros conducted a practical demonstration on defensive techniques and appropriate responses to threats involving long firearms, short firearms, and knives. The participants were then engaged in practical exercises designed to reinforce the lessons presented during the lecture and enhance their ability to respond calmly, appropriately, and safely during an active assailant situation.

The activity was conducted to strengthen the preparedness, situational awareness, and response capabilities of the school personnel; promote a culture of safety and vigilance within the school community; and equip participants with practical knowledge and skills to help protect themselves and others during critical and potentially life-threatening incidents.
