The Department of Labor and Employment has awarded Liloan the Best Public Employment Service Office (PESO) in Region 7 and Best PESO in the Province of Cebu!

Liloan is also a National Finalist as Best PESO in the Philippines.

I thank our PESO Officer Dicdic Reuyan and our Team for their tireless dedication and hardwork!

Livelihood and Employment form part of our 10-point Agenda and our job generation programs have provided opportunities for gainful employment to around 10,000 Liloanons in the past 2 years.

Through the hard work and dedication of our team in Liloan, our dynamic PESO Officer Dicdic Reuyan and PESO team, Liloan has maintained this standing yearly since 2009. 

In the past year, our programs on job generation have given gainful employment opportunities to close to 4,000 Liloanons towards our goals for economic stability and improved quality of life for all Liloanons.

Yesterday I had the honor of conferring Certificates of Graduation upon 775 Liloanons who successfully completed our Alternative Learning System (ALS), which offers courses in Culinary Arts, Bread Making, Reflexology, and Soap Making.

The ALS, which started during the administration of Mayor @dukefrasco under the Our Cebu Program, has churned out thousands of graduates that include out-of-school youth, senior citizens, single parents, and unemployed individuals. By way of the ALS which gives them the skills to start their own businesses, they gain sustainable income and financial stability for themselves and their families.

Yesterday's graduation was especially meaningful because it included the first batch of drug surrenderees who participated in our Operation Second Chance Program, which was the first program I launched under my administration, providing livelihood and community rehab in exchange for community service.
